The Focus
As a provider of composite technology for the
Wind Energy, Transportation and Marine, Sport
and Civil Engineering markets, Gurit is at the
forefront of innovation in this rapidly expanding
industry. The increasing demand to both install
new plant equipment, and further optimise new
equipment, has placed a strong emphasis on the
recruitment of engineering talent. To take on
the challenges of today, and to become engineering
and manufacturing leaders of tomorrow, Gurit
UK has created a unique Graduate scheme that
meets the requirement for this market where
flexibility, creativity, and resourcefulness
are a prerequisite.
The Job
Gurit’s UK Graduate Engineering program
is 1 year in duration, with a structured training
course on the key theoretical areas of composite
materials, processing, and world class manufacturing
techniques. In parallel there will be on-the-job-training
throughout the project work to allow for early
contribution to the success of the business.
Graduate Process Engineers at Gurit will be
responsible for supporting rapid growth via
the implementation of new plant and equipment
both in the UK and abroad; and for improving
operational performance through innovative developments
to existing process equipment. The project-based
focus of the training expedites a broad exposure
to composite technology and process technology,
and therefore allows for a seamless transition
into a permanent manufacturing engineering role
upon successful completion of the training year.
The Person
We are looking for ambitious graduates with
a minimum 2:1 classification bachelor degree
in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering
or production / manufacturing engineering. Other
degrees will be considered if there is a significant
course element of composite or materials technology.
The ideal candidates will be self-starters with
a desire to succeed. Those that have a genuine
interest in process engineering, continuous
improvement, and composite technology will thrive
in our environment amongst a team of committed
experts.
